On a little more serious note, I still wish she would have had a shot to drive a race. She’s certainly better than Carmen Jorda and, in that Williams car, might have been in the points.

Agreed. Then there was Austraulia.
Wolff cannot fill in for Bottas per the rules which state that a test driver must have driven at some point during this race weekend for them to fill in during a race, so the car remains parked.
Why don’t the teams throw the backup driver in the car at least once during free practice to prevent this?

Considering there’s quite a bit of talk about eliminating Friday running, why not use it to hedge your bets and put the reserve driver in the car? Seems like a no brainer to fit within the rules just in case of an accident.
